Intercultural Communicative Competence (ICC): A Comparison of Thai and International Teachers of English in the Thai Vocational Context

This study aims to investigate English teachers’ levels of ICC within five components, which are knowledge, attitude, skills interpretation and relating, discovery interaction, critical cultural awareness, compare the differences between its components Thai international teachers English. also seeks understand influences aspects intercultural background, consisting travel experiences, seminars/training contact. The participants were 113 36 who chosen using a multi-stage sampling methodology. research instruments consisted scales adapted from Byram model (2020) an background survey. Descriptive statistics, t-test, two-way ANOVA analysis used analyze dataset. results showed that had greater ICC. Of attitude component was found be at highest level in both groups. Critical awareness lowest among teachers, while relating level. Regarding contact with friends, social media contact, frequency co-worker affect score two groups; however, no effect on regard experiences. suggests could integrated into vocational education. Moreover, experiences contribute as extra activities for developing ELT.
